    Protect the Vote this Election Day – Volunteer with Election Protection Here California Common Cause is privileged to be able to play an active role in this year’s national, nonpartisan Election Protection efforts to ensure that all eligible voters have the right to cast their ballots on Election Day (November 6).  Election Protection, a coalition of more than 100 local, state and national partners coordinated by the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, is the nation’s most ambitious nonpartisan effort to prevent Election Day disenfranchisement. Together with law firms and organizations across the country, on November 6, the School will be hosting an Election Protection hotline – a toll-free, nonpartisan resource to answer voter questions during the election on Tuesday, November 6. Volunteering with the Election Protection Program and Sign-Up Instructions On Election Day (Tuesday, November 6), the UCLA School of Law’s clinical lab will be turned into a local Call Center, joining the law firms of Reed Smith and Munger, Tolles & Olson and the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials in servicing the southern California area. Voters in southern California who encounter a problem at the polls and call the Election Protection hotline number will be routed to one of our Call Centers.  If you wish to volunteer, you must attend one of the Election Protection trainings.
